Designer Bubbles

Products We Love: Part 1

Bliw_grupp

This is the first in a series of brief articles about products that we love here at lifeiscarbon®. The first is the humble Bliw Bubble. Launched in 1968, Bliw was Sweden's first ever liquid soap and is still produced today by Cederroth International. We love its distinctive Bubble shape (produced in accordance with strict environmental standards) which is both cute and practical (stable on the side of a bathroom sink and highly portable for trips). We also love the fact that, as well as being available in the usual assortment of variants, last year Bliw started producing Design Bubbles in collaboration with Scandinavian designers.

Bliw10gruppen

The first of these was with 10-Gruppen, a Swedish based design group. lifeiscarbon® met up with 10-Gruppen in Stockholm recently and will be profiling them in the near future. This year Bliw organized a competition amongst Nordic art and design students to decide which Design Bubble would be manufactured and marketed. The winner was Peder Bergstrand and his winning design Lödder (pictured at the top of this article) is now available in stores across Scandinavia.

Comments

We're still trying to track them down online but in the meantime, since we know that you'll probably need examples of these for one of your client projects, we've got a couple of the Peder Bergstrand designs for you (one black and one white). They'll be in the mail to you on Monday. Let us know if you need more or want one of the 10 Gruppen red ones.

Can you get these online anywhere to be shipped to the US?
