Moo, Blurb & Qoop!

Carbonmoo

Moo, Blurb, Blidget, Qoop! Don’t worry, we haven’t suddenly developed a case of Tourette Syndrome, we’re just beginning to enjoy this whole Web 2.0 thing. Our newly redesigned Moo cards are on their way (see below), since the first set proved so popular that we’ve almost run out. We love everything about Moo, from the cards to their wonderfully efficient customer service, and from the cute little box to the highly collectable card that comes with each order that simply states the shipping details. The only problem with Moo is that their cards are so popular. Friends keep wanting to trade them like Pokemon cards and we keep having to re-order.

Moo is obviously not alone in tapping into the success of online photo sharing sites and blogging platforms. At the start of the year we took delivery of our first lifeiscarbon® book, which was created and printed free courtesy of an introductory offer from Blurb. If you have a blog, the whole process is insanely easy. If you don’t want to spend hours reformatting and perfecting the design, it’s possible to publish with almost one click.

We’re not sure who’s actually downloaded the lifeiscarbon® blidget or how many have added it to their site, but we can see from the stats supplied by Widgetbox that a number of people have.

In terms of photography, we’re currently up to our fourth printed book of Flickr photos via the Qoop website. Almost as easy as Moo, the online ordering process at Qoop offers just the right level of customization to produce high quality paperback books of varying sizes without being unduly complicated. Emboldened by the Qoop experience we’re currently in the process of custom publishing our first hardback photography book via MyPublisher.

Since we’re on the subject of online services that we love, we shouldn’t forget to mention Typepad and Feedburner. Without them, you wouldn’t be reading this and we wouldn't be having so much fun writing about the art, design, fashion and music that we love.
