Swedish Monochromatic Fashion

Photos by Knotan
Since we’ve been writing about fashion all week, we might as well finish the week in the same vein (we seem to be on a roll so no reason to stop now). We’ve also had something of a bias towards Swedish designers this week and to make matters worse we're going to end the week with a quick introduction to another of our favorite Swedish fashion brands, Noir & Blanc.
The more observant of our readers might have also noticed that we’ve also been featuring a lot of shots by our friend Knotan, the fast rising young Swedish photographer. No particular reason, apart from the fact that he deserves it, he’s our favorite and his photography continues to go from strength to strength. He also happens to be the darling of the Scandinavian fashion and publishing worlds at the moment, and it’s no coincidence that he’s working for so many of the Scandinavian brands that lifeiscarbon® happen to love.
Stockholm based Noir et Blanc, was launched in the Spring of 2007 by the Swedish designers Petra Thoms and Linnea Carlgren. Finding inspiration in a diversity of sources, Noir et Blanc’s designs are often based on strong silhouettes and distinctive colors. The use of geometric shapes and glossy fabrics give the clothes a decadent feel whilst they remain highly wearable. We love the way that deep blacks and brilliant whites are mixed with occasional splashes of lush color and the sparing use of dramatic floral patterns. Take a look below at some images from Blanc et Noir’s latest collections:
