Despite the fact that we wrote about the Norwegian design team of Angel Wyller Aarseth only a few days ago, we wanted to share with you their latest designs that have just been unveiled in preparation for Salone Satellite. Take a look below at three new design favorites of ours; the highly unconventional Dark Matters Lamp, the quirky Mono Cup and the ultra sleek Trestle Mirror.
Angel Wyller Aarseth are keen to develop durable tools for everyday situations and needs. Their new trestles and mirrors are made of steel, oak and leather. The raw metal is polished to create the mirror finish without the help of a coating of any kind. We love the rawness of the design and the combination of bare materials in these pieces. The clever construction of the Steel mirror and trestles makes the products slim, sleek yet ultra stable.

The new Mono Cup can be easily handled and turned in a controlled motion due to its distinctive design. Much of the character of the new series is in the handle, which provides a sort of steering wheel or a knob for sipping. When stacked on top of each other, the cups resemble a mushroom tree or a tower of trumpets. Clearly Angel Wyller Aarseth wanted to challenge the conventional design of cup handles and give users the opportunity to find their own way to hold a cup.

Highlighting an area is usually done using a pool or spot of light. Rather unconventionally, Angel Wyller Aarseth´s Dark Matters Lamp creates a dark spot whilst the sphere bounces light around the rest of the room. The lamp itself is much like a planet, with a bright and a dark side.
