With all due respect to the many Scandinavian fashion designers that we love, we have to admit that if uniforms were worn at lifeiscarbon® they´d probably be supplied by the Swedish label Odeur. We´ve long been admirers but have totally fallen for their latest collection. Entitled Where the Shimmer Lies, Odeur´s Spring/Summer 2011 collection is inspired by nouveau riche tendencies, especially the over indulgent use of fashion as an expression of newly acquired wealth. Whilst we´ve made no secret of our proclivity for a monochrome palette, we do love Odeur´s use of deep choral pink. Take a look below at a selection of our favorites from the new collection:
Odeur, designed by Petter Hollström and Gorjan Lauseger, is characterised by playful silhouettes and minimal prints. Since their first collection in 2006, Odeur has progressed to using a mix of luxurious fabrics that support their clean, oversized and unisex look.
The label is now represented at select stores in 17 countries including Harvey Nichols in Hong Kong, Temporary Showroom in Berlin, Oki-Ni in London and OAK NYC in New York.

Gender neutrality is a big thing this year. I would tie it to slowing economy when labels tried to appeal to both genders and make something everlasting and classic. We covered guide in our post: http://thetrendcult.blogspot.com/2011/05/guide-to-unisex-sunglasses-2011.html
